What features of My Tareas can I use for free?

Any activity that is teacher-created or preloaded is available for free. Student accounts, and student activities such as quizzes and homework, are also free. A subscription is needed to create your own activities, as well as to create classes, assign homework and administer online quizzes. A year-long subscription costs $49.95 for an individual instructor.

Are group discounts available?

Yes! Discounts are as follows:

1-2 Teachers ... $49.95
3-5 Teachers ... $39.95
6-15 Teachers ... $33.95
16+ Teachers ... $32.95

Do my students need to subscribe to use the activities I create?

Yes, students do need to subscribe, but they can use My Tareas for free once their instructor has subscribed. When you subscribe, you will receive an identification code for each class in your profile. Students input this number when signing in, and receive access to the activities you have assigned to their particular class.

Can my school pay using a purchase order?

Yes. Please fax your P.O. to 800-287-4509, Attn. My Tareas. Be sure to include the names and e-mail addresses of all of the teachers that you will be paying for on your P.O. OR Click on Teacher Registration, choose the Purchase Order option, and follow the on screen prompts. You will need a P.O. number from your school or district to sign up this way, but it does ensure immediate access to the sites features. We will process your P.O. here and bill your school or school district.

Can I purchase a subscription for several instructors at once?

No. At this time, each instructor must purchase subscriptions separately. It takes only a few minutes to sign up online and complete your order.

How long does my subscription last?

Your subscription to My Tareas is good for one year. Upon subscribing, you will receive an e-mail confirmation message that includes your subscription's expiration date. That date can also be found under the "Settings" link on the left-hand side of the page, once you have logged into your account.

Your subscription can be renewed at any time. Renewal will extend the expiration date by one year.

What forms of payment can I use?

At this time, credit cards are the only accepted form of payment. We accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover cards. Paying with a credit card offers immediate access to your account.

Are free trials of My Tareas available?

Yes, you can try My Tareas for free before you subscribe. Click here for a free, 7-day trial account, which offers complete access to most of the Web site's features. When the trial period has ended, you can purchase a year-long subscription to My Tareas.

What subjects are My Tareas available for?

Right now, My Tareas is only available in Spanish. However, if there is another subject you would like to see on My Tareas, please send an e-mail to: info@mytareas.com, telling us which subject(s) you are interested in having available.

How do I create a class?

Once you sign in, go to the "Add a Class" button on the left-hand side of the screen. In the box, type in the name of your class (an example is provided as a guide). Click "next." Your class will then be added to the "My Classes" menu. To add another class, repeat the steps.

How do I add student to my class?

Students add themselves! Have your student log into the site by clicking on the orange "Sign up" button on the top of the My Tareas homepage, have them select "Student Registration" and fill in the blanks. The space provided that says "access code" is where the student will enter the number for their particular class. The access code is located in your profile under "My Classes." Each class will be individually assigned an access code, and is located right under the class name. This access code is important for students to be able to both receive assigned activities you have given, and for you to receive their scoring.

How do I add activities to my class(es)?

The best way to add activities to your class(es) is by adding activities to your activity bank first, and then clicking the "Assign to Class" button next to each activity.

How do student scores report back to me?

Student scores report back automatically. To see student scores click on "My Classes," and then click on "Manage Activities." Below your activity bank you will see each activity listed with a "View Report" button. Click "View Report" and you will see a window pop up with all of the scores for that activity.
